It is becoming more and more clear that even our pessimistic crop expectations at 47.000 tons will not be reached. From our experts in the field we learn that the total crop will be closed to 40.000 tons, with mainly very small kernels. Hardly any 60/70 cpo, nor larger. And many issues on aflatoxin, and tremendous high levels. South Africa will need to import for its own industry, but that will not be easy with the ZAR at around 15 against the USD.
