Details of the re-instated export tax by Argentine Government are 3 Peso’s per USD on blanched peanuts (at current USD/ARS rate that is about 7 to 7,5 per cent) and 4 Peso’s on raw peanuts ( at current rate about 11 to 12 per cent). Government expects the ARS to devaluate further and that later the burden is a lower percentage of the export price. But with the export rebate that was cut last month as well by 2,5 per cent, the total tax burden has increased significantly.
